Purchasers of corrugated containers experienced two 10% industry prices increases during 1999. Together these price increases mean that companies purchasing
$1,000,000 of corrugated containers are now paying $200,000 a year more than they were a year ago. Heading into 2000, industry sources indicate that another price increase may be on the way.According to Thomas McCoy,
President of McCoy Corporation, "Corrugated price increases will impact a company's bottom line. However, virtually all high volume purchasers can improve purchasing methods that will compensate for these increases.
McCoy Corporation implements cost-based corrugated container programs for high volume purchasers. Founded in 1963, the company has served manufacturers of a wide range of products including food and beverage products,
health and beauty aids, office products, furniture, appliances, and others. McCoy Corporation can be contacted by phone at (805) 484-8484, fax (805) 484-0234 and e-mail McCoy@4Corrugated.com |
